A Very Special Player of the Year at Foot-Tech

Max started with us early 2022.

He’d recently had to leave his home in Ukraine due to the war with Russia

We were contacted by his host family to see if we could get him involved in Foot-Tech in hope of giving him a chance to do something he enjoys and make some new friends.

He struggled initially and was hesitant.

He didn’t speak or understand much English but he persisted.

Since then he’s progressed so much.

He’s loving his football but his coaches have been as impressed with how he has interacted with his group.

He’s always on hand to help anyone who needs it and has become a very popular member of his group as a result of his kind nature.

Seeing the smile on his face when he got this award after all he’s been through will live long in our memory’s

The positive impact football can have in the right environment is huge
