A mentally tough few days in Holland…

We’ve just had an intensive 5 days in Amsterdam of sharing views and learning alongside football coaches from around the world.

USA, Canada, China, Morocco, Germany, Finland, Iceland…

And even exotic places such as Crossgates and Roundhay

Overseen and challenged by a Dutch football coaching genius.

A guy who continuously had us questioning what football coaching should be and highlighting why so many get it wrong.

Raymond Verheijen has coached at the very very top level of football.

World Cups, Euro’s, Premier League, La Liga…

His views on youth coaching were eye-opening and (for us) reassuring in terms of our approach and how we try to work with our players.

15-18 hour days, very little sleep and about 6 minutes of sunlight in 5 days

But all so worth it for how much we have learned which in turn will enhance what we do for our members.

Without doubt the best course we’ve ever been on.

Hopefully next time we go to Amsterdam we’ll actually get to see Amsterdam!
