Foot-Tech now accredited to deliver the SLQ Young Leaders in Sport Award

It’s our mission to keep as many children as possible involved in sport well into their adulthood.

Unfortunately, we see a drop off at our sessions from around age 13-14 and we don’t (yet) provide specific training for teenagers/young adults.

Instead of saying goodbye we are now able to offer these young people a chance to gain a qualification, work experience AND a potential paid coaching role with us in the future.

We’ve had several young volunteers come down to help at our sessions but this means we can now provide them with a formal qualification that, at the very least, gives them something to put on a CV for the future.

It also gives them vital life skills that will help them in whatever they do – communication, team work, organisation etc.

Our ultimate goal with this is to develop and train the next generation of football coaches who will hopefully go onto big things within the game (and Foot-Tech!).

This is something we have funded and there will be no cost to any of our members who want to get involved – it’s is our way of investing in them to keep them involved in sport in the long-term.

Foot-Tech parents, if you’re interested in talking to us about this please just get in touch.

Like how we think about kids' football?
