If you’re constantly instructing from the sidelines you’re killing the learning potential of your child.

❌ STOP saying these things…

Find space!

Get rid of it!

Pass!

Shoot!

Stay back!

✅ START saying these things…

What could you have done differently?

What would you do next time?

How could you be a better team mate?

Well done

If you’re constantly instructing from the sidelines you’re killing the learning potential of your child.

If you save it until after the game and ask questions like those it’ll mean your child has chance to further their learning by discussing and reflecting rather than just being told.

Then a ‘well done’ is just about the most powerful thing you can say to a child and it gets them excited for next week 👍
