Some amazing news to finish the week. Was almost in tears when we got the message from his dad on Friday!

Max Ruddock has signed his first professional contract with Premier League side, Wolves

Some of our followers will know Max’s story.

2 years ago he was at Bradford City, doing well.

Then he had his world changed almost overnight when Wolves came in for him and he had to make the tough decision to leave behind his life up here to join their academy.

This is the type of thing that some football parents don’t see and don’t understand.

Max and his family had to leave behind their lives, friends, school, work etc to move to a new city.

Big sacrifices that had to be made with no guarantee of success.

Thankfully, Max has the right mindset and attitude that has meant he’s taken all this in his stride.

Plus, he’s had the support of fantastic parents who have helped him settle into his new life in Wolverhampton.

He’s thrived in that new football environment which has taken him to the next level and he’s now got the ultimate reward that all young kids dream of – a first professional football contract.

Been smiling all weekend. So happy for you, Max.
