What to say instead of, ‘Did you win?’

How did you play?
What was the best part of the game?
What could you do better next time?
Questions like these work better because they show children that there’s more to playing football than just the result.
In the end, the score is only a very small part of what playing football is all about.
These questions help them think about their game, focus on what they enjoyed regardless of the result and helps them learn by assessing themselves.
