Why we don’t shout instructions constantly…..
If you watch one of our sessions, you might notice something…
The coaches aren’t constantly shouting instructions.
That’s deliberate and part of how we train our players.
Football is a fast, unpredictable game. Players don’t have time to wait for someone on the sidelines to tell them what to do.
They need to learn to see what’s happening and make decisions for themselves.
So instead of giving children answers every few seconds, we try to create situations where they can figure things out.
Sometimes that means letting the game continue.
Sometimes it means allowing mistakes.
Because those moments are often where the most learning happens.
Over time, children start to notice more, understand more and make better decisions on their own.
And that’s the goal.
Not players who rely on constant instructions, but players who can read the game for themselves.
When you do hear us it’s normally questioning or encouraging.
